Members of ICON Greece were invited for an Erasmus Youth Training Course in July 2018 in Lithuania. The course was about Digital Learning both as a professional opportunity and as a tool for personal development.
Members of ICON Greece presented their experiences and practices on how to exploit digital learning for youth and adult trainees. The Training Course included session on recognition of non formal learning that insiperd our participants for their future plans. Also, there was a workshop on how to improve your skills as “digital immigrants” to be able to communicate with “digital natives” of the youth generation.

ICON Greece organised a study visit for its Board Members and trainers on post secondary vocational and technical education. The study visit was implemented in Spain and it included theoretical and practical sessions.
Cultural field trip of school groups in the Medieval city of Rodos. ICON Greece organised tours by using smart phones for the navigation around the city. Students liked the tour because it was not a boring tour according to their evaluation afterwards. Students were able to move around and to follow their own route of exploration.
ICON Greece works with Primary and Secondary Schools for promotion of local tradition. Group of students are happy and proud to show local tradition to youth exchange students from abroad. Dance is the easiest way to socialize people from different backgrounds and to make new friends.
ICON Greece has a special interest in cooperation between formal and non formal education. ICON Greece worked together in Malta in December 2016 on a Youth Exchane on recognition of non formal education.
ICON Greece together with Shelter NGO in Portugal organised a Training Seminar on “Augmented Reality Games” for Youth Workers in May 2016 in Lisbon.
The seminar included
a) theoretical background on digital tools and augmented reality. Youth workers had practice on digital applications that can guide them to create augmented reality games without advanced ICT skills
