In order to counteract the low participation of women in AI sciences and to help

the implementation of the SDG goals, this project aims to develop an innovative approach, combining training with educational play, so as to:

-help young women explore their entrepreneurship skills and capabilities relating to the field of AI and bridge the gap of inclusion and equality;

-encourage the innovation and sustainability of the SDG goals, based on a fun, engaging, and positive game environment.

On June 18, 2024 our first kick-off meeting took place in Nicosia, Cyprus.

In our meeting, we started with brief introductions of all partners and an overview of the project, followed by detailed discussions on WP1 Project Management, including project administration, financial transfers, and timesheet submissions. We reviewed the proposal documents, grant agreement, and partner agreement, emphasizing the project’s end date of 28.02.2026. For Quality Assurance, we prepared a QA plan and evaluation templates. The Promotion segment will involve developing a promotion plan, discussing the design of logos and templates, and planning the website, social media, and necessary promotional materials.

AI is still a nascent field in which relatively few people have leading expertise, and as such many organizations and their workforces are just beginning their AI journeys. There is still time for organizations to close the gender gap in AI—organizations that can bring more women into their AI teams can not only bring much needed gender equality to the field, but also bring more value to their business and customers. While it is surely difficult to change a gender-biased problem that is not being quantified, companies globally are realizing the value that gender diversity can offer in AI. Through our project we will enhance women’s AI skills through our innovative curriculum that will be hosted on the project’s website via a designated knowledge portal and our unique approach of educational material.
