It\u2019s not just another online course. It\u2019s a space where young people \u2014 particularly young women \u2014 can explore what&nbsp;<strong>Artificial Intelligence (AI)<\/strong>&nbsp;actually is, how it works, and how it connects to bigger issues like&nbsp;<strong>climate change<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>gender equality<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>access to clean energy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83d\udca1 Why This Matters<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Right now, AI is shaping the systems around us \u2014 from how decisions are made in hospitals and schools to how we receive information online. But not everyone gets a say in how these systems are built.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s part of what drives this project. We want to create something that\u2019s not only educational, but also&nbsp;<strong>open and welcoming<\/strong>, especially for those who are often left out of tech spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83d\udcda What\u2019s Inside the Portal?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The course will include&nbsp;<strong>six modules<\/strong>, each with its own focus. Together, they offer a balanced mix of&nbsp;<strong>basic concepts<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>ethical questions<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>hands-on tools<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>personal reflection<\/strong>. Here\u2019s a preview:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>What is AI, and why should we care?<\/strong><br>A simple introduction, with real-life examples and space to reflect on how AI shows up in everyday life.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Skills you\u2019ll actually use<\/strong><br>From\u00a0<strong>critical thinking<\/strong>\u00a0to\u00a0<strong>communication<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 we explore the kinds of soft and technical skills that are useful when working with (or just understanding) AI.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>AI across different sectors<\/strong><br>How is AI used in healthcare, education, transport, or even entertainment? This module uses real cases to explain it clearly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Barriers that keep women out of tech<\/strong><br>We look at the factors that discourage women from entering or staying in tech fields \u2014 and how to start changing that.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Using tech to support inclusion<\/strong><br>This module highlights real examples of how AI can help promote equality, if designed responsibly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Learning through play: Minecraft and the SDGs<\/strong><br>A creative module where learners explore global challenges \u2014 like\u00a0<strong>climate action<\/strong>\u00a0or\u00a0<strong>clean energy<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 using a specially developed\u00a0<strong>Minecraft environment<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83e\udde0 What Else Will the Portal Offer?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Activities you can do alone or with a group<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Short quizzes to check your understanding<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Free access \u2014 just register with your email<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>No prior knowledge of AI is needed. The course is built to be&nbsp;<strong>approachable from the start<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83d\uddd3\ufe0f When Will It Be Ready?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019re still finalizing the platform and testing the materials, but it\u2019s getting close. The portal will be online&nbsp;<strong>in the coming months<\/strong>.
